What you can find here

Coverage built around coffee

Our public portal connects reporting from multiple publishers with market context and voices from the coffee community. Topic labels help readers navigate the coverage; they are editorial aids, not measures of truth or economic impact.

All Coffee News

Browse current coffee-related stories, search the available feed and archive, and follow each item to its source. Feed links can sometimes pass through an intermediary; check the publisher page for the full context.

Public editorial analysis

Latest Coffee Analysis

Editorial analysis synthesizes themes and changes visible in the collected news coverage. It is designed to help readers get oriented and see what is being discussed across publishers.

How to read it: the size of a topic reflects its share of stories in the feed. It does not establish whether a claim is true, how large its economic effect is, or whether the feed covers every relevant development. Follow the linked sources to assess the underlying reporting.

Sources, units, and caveats

Global Coffee Data & Trends

Market indicators and trade statistics answer different questions. Kabar Kopi presents the source and unit with each series, and separates reference prices from transaction prices.

Arabica and Robusta indicators

Arabica C-Market futures and the ICO daily Robusta indicator are shown as separate references. The ICO Robusta indicator is not an ICE futures contract, and neither series is a farm-gate or exporter offer price.

Indonesia supply and exports

USDA PSD country figures describe Indonesia’s coffee fundamentals in marketing-year units. BPS export statistics report trade values and volumes according to the available HS-code dataset; figures can change when the source updates its data.

A practical tool

Coffee Export Calculator

Estimate an indicative FOB price from a reference price, differential, quality premium, local costs, volume, exchange rate, and margin. Optional destination-cost fields let users enter their own freight and charges for a landed-cost estimate.

The calculator is a planning aid, not a quote. Destination costs are user-entered—not live tariffs or freight offers. Confirm current prices, taxes, insurance, quality terms, and contract conditions before making a commercial decision.

MEVO Coffee Research

MEVO is a separate member research product. Its workflow documents source mapping and relevance screening, analyzes Foundation and Growth materials separately, and uses two-stage clustering to bring together related themes. Reports select issues using Growth-cluster signals for a stated period and include traceable sources, conclusions, recommendations, and methodological limitations.

Latest Coffee Analysis · public

An editorial synthesis of themes in the current coffee news feed, intended to provide a quick overview of coverage.

Report by MEVO · members

A documented, period-based research report with relevance screening, separate Foundation and Growth analysis, two clustering stages, and traceable evidence. Its scores are signals of issue development—not proof that a claim is true.

MEVO refers to JBI evidence-mapping principles, PRISMA-S search-recording items, and PRISMA-ScR reporting principles. These references describe methodological guidance; they do not mean each report is a formal systematic or scoping review. Read the full process and limitations in the MEVO methodology and member area.

Transparency

Sources matter; limitations matter too

Kabar Kopi is an independent coffee-industry portal developed in the Q.co ecosystem. News collection, topic classification, public analysis, market datasets, and member reports have different methods and boundaries. We identify sources where available and do not present topic volume or clustering scores as proof of accuracy, market impact, or causation.

Some feed entries currently use Google News intermediary URLs rather than a direct publisher URL. Headlines and excerpts are not substitutes for the source article. We are improving source traceability and will identify intermediary links where they occur.
